Editor's Welcome

A warm welcome to the July/August 2010 Issue.

The whole country was shocked by the recent shootings in West Cumbria and for some of us it was closer to home than others. You see, I am originally from that area and some of my family still live there. I am counting my blessings that none of them were among Derrick Bird's victims; especially my father who actually saw two of the bodies. We should pray for all concerned.
Sometimes it is easy to take life for granted and maybe it is time to realize how blessed we are (Ephesians 1:3 and Psalm 103) and that we should do our best to be a blessing to others (Genesis 12:2). We have been blessed by your response to TV4Life’s appeal which has reached its target to build a well in Kenya (p28). Praise the Lord!
